LPC-MHSP-S / Clinical Supervisor — Middle Tennessee
Make an Impact Through Therapy and Supervision
Ellie Mental Health is looking for a Tennessee-licensed LPC-MHSP-S to join our Middle Tennessee team. This position combines direct clinical work with professional supervision for counselors working toward independent licensure.
We are looking for someone who enjoys both sides of clinical practice: supporting clients in their own therapeutic work and helping developing clinicians strengthen their skills. Our environment is designed to encourage creativity, authenticity, compassion, humor, acceptance, and determination.
The Role
As a Clinical Supervisor, you'll maintain your own clinical practice while providing guidance and oversight to pre-licensed therapists. You'll help ensure clients receive thoughtful, individualized care while supporting supervisees as they progress toward full professional licensure.
Primary Functions
- Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments and identify appropriate diagnoses
- Work with clients to establish measurable, individualized treatment goals
- Deliver outpatient counseling using interventions suited to the needs of each client
- Complete progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and other required clinical records
- Provide clinical supervision to counselors seeking independent licensure
- Offer feedback, consultation, and professional guidance to supervisees
- Monitor clinical documentation and promote adherence to applicable standards and procedures
- Maintain a combined minimum of 27 service hours each week, including qualifying supervision activities
- Communicate and coordinate care with families, case managers, physicians, schools, other providers, and members of the clinical team when appropriate
- Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, trainings, and other professional activities
- Contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of the clinic
Qualifications
To be considered, candidates should have:
- A master's degree or higher in counseling, behavioral health, or a closely related field 3+ years
- Active Tennessee LPC-MHSP-S licensure and the required qualifications to provide clinical supervision
- At least three years of relevant clinical experience
- Demonstrated experience with diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical recordkeeping
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to establish appropriate therapeutic and supervisory boundaries
- Experience working effectively with clients representing a broad range of backgrounds and needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic health record technology
- Valant experience is a plus
